Inspired by folk myths and changeling creatures. The piece depicts the beautiful sea creature in transition. She left the sea to beguile an unsuspecting young man. A sense of loneliness and longing remain, will she leave or stay, torn between two worlds.
Made in Crank clay and sheep’s wool, glazed sparsely to represent the coat of a seal.
